atmos lab is an independent environmental design consultancy based in London. In a context where human impact is leaving a costly imprint on its homeland, we help architecture face the environmental challenges of our time with built-in common sense. Playing with temperature, sunlight, or wind, we provide a climate-responsive frame of mind, and healthier solutions to build with: more efficient, more comfortable, more sustainable. www.atmoslab.io
Our team is composed of architects and engineers, all specialised in environmental design and building physics. We focus on making architecture work with climate, not against it; and in reducing the 40% chunk of global carbon emissions (energy-related) caused by the construction industry.
We provide a unique consulting service based on state-of-the-art research, environmental analysis and sound architectural understanding. We help our clients push the boundaries of the discipline to go beyond simplistic views, convoluted regulations and rigid certification systems. With new tools for calculation and new angles for interpretation, we reinvent the dialogue between engineering and architecture. Aside from new projects and renovations, we are also tackling research projects, the urban scale, cultural installations, and academia.
Don’t fight climate, use it.
